St. Agnes Hall, Kennington
Overview
The
Hall is particularly suitable for rehearsals and community group meetings. We
welcome bookings and enquiries from performance, theatre and community groups.
The Hall has excellent facilities and is situated in a quiet, easily
accessible location adjacent to Kennington Park and just 5 minutes walk from
Oval and Kennington Tube Stations (Northern Line).
It measures 14m x 8.5m (46' x 28') overall including a raised “stage”
area. The main floor space measures
10.75m x 8.5m and is light and airy with a high ceiling.
Nearby
facilities include a Bank, Post Office, Shops, Kennington Park Café and a
variety of pubs and restaurants covering English, Indian, Italian, Oriental and
Thai cuisine.
Hall Facilities
The
Hall is well-lit with plenty of natural light during the day, tungsten filament
up-lighters and, optionally, high-level fluorescent tubes.
We have a lockable cupboard for overnight storage and the Hall is
equipped with an intruder alarm. The toilets have recently been refurbished to
provide modern facilities including a disabled toilet.
There
is a modern, fully-equipped kitchen including:
- Cutlery
and crockery
- Filter
coffee machines and kettles
- Fridge,
Microwave and Dishwasher
Other facilities include:
- A
regularly tuned “Danemann” rehearsal Piano in good condition
- “Go-Pak”
folding tables and upholstered chairs
- 30A
electrical power supply
- Telephone
line for incoming calls
- Broadband
wired and wireless internet connection at no extra charge
- Access
to a photocopier can normally be arranged.

A 10% discount is applied to bookings of 4 weeks
or more.
A deposit of £90 for each week booked is
required to secure a booking.
The Hall may be available from lunchtime on
Sunday for Theatre groups– please enquire.
Please
note: The space is not available for hire for religious worship.
The worshipping community meets at 10am each Sunday in
the Church – you are welcome to join us.
Also, the Hall is not available for wedding, birthday, baptism or any
other social functions.
